Workshop for Future Students – February 27, 2026

A workshop for future students was successfully held on February 27, bringing together students of a secondary medical school in an engaging and educational setting.

The workshop was designed to introduce participants to the importance of teamwork and collaboration in healthcare. Students were divided into smaller groups, where they worked together on solving practical, case-based scenarios adapted to their level of education.

Through this interactive format, participants had the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills, improve communication, and gain insight into real-life situations they may encounter in their future academic and professional paths.

This activity represents an important step in early professional development, encouraging students to think critically and collaboratively while strengthening their interest in healthcare studies.

We thank all participants for their enthusiasm and active participation.

Second Workshop Held for Students of Biomedical Science – January 31, 2026

The second workshop for students of pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry was successfully held on January 31 in one of the amphitheaters of the Faculty of Medicine.

The workshop brought together students from different healthcare disciplines with the aim of strengthening interprofessional collaboration and jointly addressing challenges from real-life clinical practice. Participants were divided into smaller groups, where they worked collaboratively on analyzing and solving complex case scenarios based on practical examples.

Through this interactive approach, students had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, develop communication skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the roles of other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.

We thank all participants for their active engagement and look forward to future events.

Advancing Interprofessional Education Among Future Healthcare Professionals, December 27, 2025


During the weekend of December 27, a theoretical class within the course Interprofessional Education was held at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. During the session, the WhoLeIPE project was presented, and students were introduced to the importance of interprofessional education, emphasizing its value both for their future professional practice and for improving patient care. The lecture was attended by students of pharmacy, dentistry, and medicine.

Announcement of the 2026 Poznań Conference “Towards the Culture of Integrated Healthcare” at the Struga, North Macedonia


During the Congress held from October 31 to November 2, 2025, in Struga, North Macedonia, dr hab. Magdalena Waszyk-Nowaczyk announced the upcoming international conference “Towards the Culture of Integrated Healthcare,” which will take place in Poznań on October 28–29, 2026.

WhoLeIPE workshop at Trinity College Dublin

From November 11 to 13, 2025, a group of academic staff members from University of Belgrade and University of Medical Sciences Poznan visited Trinity College Dublin to explore interprofessional education practices in Ireland. The delegation included 7 representatives from the University of Belgrade and 7 from the University of Medical Sciences Poznan.

The visit began with lectures delivered by Adjunct Associate Professor Martin Henman, along with colleagues Assistant Professor Emer Mc Govan and Assistant Professor Sheila Galvin, where the whole group was engaged in discussions about interprofessional education (IPE) strategies and implementation.

Following the lectures, participants attended a hands-on workshop held in a St James’s Hospital settings, where students were actively engaged in the practical component of the interprofessional collaboration course. Students were divided into groups to solve complex clinical cases, which required collaboration among different health professionals to reach effective solutions. Each academic representative had the opportunity to observe these interactive sessions and see IPE in practice.


During the final day of the visit, the project’s Steering Committee held a formal meeting to review progress and future activities. After the meeting, the president of APPEL gave a detailed presentation on how the national system manages student placement allocation, explaining the entire process of assigning students to practice sites and organizing their placement workflow.

This visit provided the academic staff with a unique opportunity to exchange experiences, gain insights into collaborative models among health professions, and gather inspiration for enhancing interprofessional education at their home institutions.


Announcement of the “Towards the Culture of Integrated Healthcare” Conference During the XXVI Congress of the Polish Neuropsychological Society


During the XXVI Congress of the Polish Neuropsychological Society, held from October 10 to 11, 2025, dr hab. Magdalena Waszyk-Nowaczyk announced the upcoming international conference “Towards the Culture of Integrated Healthcare,” which will be held in Poznań from October 28 to 29, 2026.

Project working groups (WG2 – Towards the Integrated Healthcare, WP3 – Strengthening Interprofessional Curricula, and WG4 – Training of Trainers) will present results of its desk research, as well as the next steps towards reaching the foreseen project outputs.

Academic staff and students from health sciences faculties, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders are very welcome.

WhoLeIPE networking

During the WhoLeIPE project months 1-3 (Dec 2024 – Feb 2025) intensive networking has happened. After the initial project meeting hold on Dec 5th, 2024, an active communication between academic staff at the participating institutions has been employed and individual members has joined working groups, in line with their expertise and interest. Working groups have been constituted by the end of December 2024 and the first meetings of each have been successfully organised in January and February, in online format. The first tasks have been discussed and each of the WG has started with the desk research in line with specific aims.  The results of the desk research are expected to be presented during the Kick-off meeting in March 2025.

WhoLeIPE project lunch

The first WhoLeIPE project meeting has been organized on Dec 5th, 2024 in hybrid form. It gathered representatives of all consortium members: University of Belgrade (coordinator) (UB, Serbia), Trinity College Dublin (TCD, Ireland), Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS, Poland). Representative of the National Foundation Tempus, Jelena Jevtović, project officer in the field of higher education, has joined the meeting and gave a presentation about the key requirements of the Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships in higher education action. During the meeting, Project Steering Committee has been appointed, and working group leaders were agreed, as follows: WG2 – Towards the Integrated Healthcare, Assoc. Prof Magdalena Waszyk-Nowaczyk, PUMS, WP3 – Strengthening Interprofessional Curricula, Prof Danijela Đukić Ćosić, Faculty of Pharmacy – UB, WG4 – Training of Trainers, Prof Martin Henman, TCD, and WG5 – Dissemination & Exploitation: Assis. Prof Andrijana Milošević Georgiev, Faculty of Pharmacy – UB. The next steps will include working groups constitution and desk research within each of WG, in line with specific aims.
